Welcome, and thanks for taking the time to visit our site! This website will tell you more about a challenge that we will be undertaking this summer to raise money for some fantastic causes - Ty Hafan (the children's hospice of Wales); and Fishguard and St David's lifeboats.
Starting on 17th July, we plan to walk the length of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, from Amroth in the South, to St Dogmaels in the North. It may not sound much, but in reality is going to be quite a challenge. A total distance of 186 miles, with 35,000 feet of ascent and descent has led some to compare it to climbing Mt Everest...well, that's what it says on the Wikipedia page anyway! Admittedly there a few more pubs and refreshment points along the route than you would find on Everest...

![]() Us on our walk... (thanks to John Hate for the picture! Check out more of John's work at www.hatedesign.co.uk) We plan to complete the walk in 2 weeks, which means an average of about 13 1/4 miles a day. Given our lack of previous hiking and camping experience, even taking the tent down in the morning could prove difficult, so the thought of walking this distance every day for a fortnight is a little bit scary. We have set ourselves a target of raising £5,000 in total, with 50% going to Ty Hafan, and 50% being split between Fishguard and St David's lifeboats. Donating is easy (click on the DONATE link above for more information), so please give generously and help us to help these very worthy cause! - Dan & James P.S - We will be posting regular updates during the walk on the blog page of this site, so please check back from 23rd June to keep an eye on our progress! |
