Why are we doing it? We are doing the walk in memory of Dan's dad Steve, who sadly died earlier this year. DAN - On 26th February 2010, Dad sadly died very suddenly after suffering a massive brain haemorrhage, and quite soon afterwards, I decided I wanted to do something in his memory, and at the same time, hopefully raise some money for some very good causes. As you can see from the photo to the right (which was taken on the day before he died), Dad was very active and healthy right to the end, and there was nothing he liked more than exploring the Pembrokeshire coastline - either in his boat, or by foot on the Coast Path. Therefore, when we were thinking of a challenge to undertake, this one stood out as particularly relevant and a perfect way to remember him. |
